This is a small, delicate Grinnellia. The five main blades in this specimen emerge from a dark point of attachment which, on close inspection, appears to be a fragment of a larger alga. The blades are speckled with reproductive structures and tend toward pale yellow at their tips. Framed in maple, 11 × 12½".
