November 2, 2002 . Narragansett, RI
A very low tide at Scarborough Beach, with mounds of drift on the beach and birds feeding and dodging the waves. Also, a smooth stone apparently covered in a green algal film and with red patches of Hildenbrandia; Grateloupia growing off of all the exposed rocks at my feet; Molly collecting and lounging among the algae; and some final shots of critters collected with seaweed in a bucket. Click here to see a panoramic view of the seaweed cast up on the shore on this day.
